Cost Inflation index for year 2014-2015 is 1024

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has specified a value for the cost inflation index (CII) for 2014-15. A cost inflation index helps reduce the inflationary gains, thereby reducing the long-term capital gains tax payout for a taxpayer.

Last year, the index was ‘939’, and this year it is ‘1024’.

This would mean that there has been a 9.05 per cent rise in the cost inflation index for 2014-15.

The index is useful for income-tax assessees in the computation of tax on long-term capital gains (for indexation purposes).

In the previous year (2013-14), the cost inflation index increased 10.2 per cent.

Currently, the income-tax law allows long-term capital gains to be computed after adjusting for inflation.

The cost of acquisition as well as the cost of improvement is adjusted for inflation between the date of purchase and date of sale (through the cost inflation index) before the long-term capital gain is ascertained.

NO. 142/3/2014-TPL], DATED 11-6-2014 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (v) of the Explanation to section 48 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (42 of 1961), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), Central Board of Direct Taxes published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number S.O. 709(E), dated the 20th   August, 1998, namely:—

1.  In the said notification, in the Table, after serial number 33 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:—

Airtel and vodafone is better then Idea Telephone Connection . a review of telephone connection

Idea Connectivity Issues

I have just moved to Idea from my 2 year old Vodafone Connection. And my experience with Idea phone is awful.
I had in past used Airtel and Vodafone. And I am satisfied with both the connections.

Airtel Connection

For last 7 years i was using Airtel and and never had any connectivity issues. But since its post paid plan was too high I decided to port out to Vodafone.

I travel daily between Gurgaon -Manesar belt to Faridabad via Aravali -Crusher zone. Airtel provides connectivity but Idea…. never.

Vodafone Days

I was satisfied with Vodafone connection. I used Vodafone for 2 years. Vodafone signals were not as better as Airtel but since my mobile bill reduced by one third, connectivity issue was never felt. I was experienced One or two drop in month with Vodafone.

Idea Connectivity

But Idea has changed everything. I was impressed with ideas promotion and “ no Ullu Banaoing” ad campaign. And then one fine day I got a sales call from Idea customer care . They offered me good plan. And then everything has changed.

Let me tell you, connectivity issue was alien to me. I have never remember any call drops experience with Airtel. Airtel Signals were good while roaming across states and signals are good in Basement also. But with Idea iam now laughing lot.

Problems i have faced with Idea Connection:

1) Idea Signals on my phone,  always showed 0 or 1 bar. Every time i try to dial a number, these signals, just vanish and iam not able to connect.

2) Signals in Basement : Idea Signals are never available in Basement. So every time I have to wait to come out of basement to make a call. Wonder what will happen if you are alone , you cannot call for help in case of mishappening.

3) People have started complaining that my phone is always out of reach.

4) One way speech : Every time i am talking on phone, suddenly person on other side will not be able to hear me, thought I am able to hear him.

So what can I do now ? Please suggest me any ideas: >

Unfortunately there is nothing I can do.

But I tried doing

1) Compliant on Idea Website : I made complaint on the idea website. Yes you can Make complaint on IDeacellular.com and register your complaint. Complaint Screen looks something like this:

It will ask all details to capture the porblem faced by customers. So i used this otion to make a complaint. ( First time in my life (sic..) I  was given complaint no and executive call me to understand my problem. Then after two days again he called me to say that the problem can not be rectified . And said we will try to make connection better. And i received a regret mail from Idea Phone ”

Dear Customer, as discussed with our service executive, your concern on Coverage with Communication IdC1-24500966402 could not be resolved at the moment . Regret the inconvenience . We value your patience and commitment and look forward to servicing you.

2) Stay with Idea for 90 days:  Once you port out you have to with the telephone company for 90 days. I am waiting for the day when these 90 days will end. Till then my business is suffering.

3) I have now started carrying double Sim phone. So that I can make call from that number.

4) Call forwarding : I have started using call forwarding option now. I have set the call forwarding of my calls to other Sim of Airtel Iam using.

So my Friends. My rating with the 3 connection is
